Ja! Ich weiß, woher ich stamme!
Ungesättigt gleich der Flamme
Glühe und verzehr′ ich mich.
Licht wird alles, was ich fasse,
Kohle alles, was ich lasse:
Flamme bin ich sicherlich.
അറിയാമെനി,ക്കെവിടെ നിന്നു വന്നു ഞാനെന്നു്
തൃപ്തമാകാ,തൊരു തീജ്ജ്വാല പോലെയാണെന്നു്.
കത്തുന്നു ഞാൻ, ഭുജിക്കുന്നു ഞാനെന്നെ.
വെളിച്ചമായിടുന്നെന്തും ഞാൻ തൊടുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ.
കരിയായിടുന്നേതും, തൊട്ടു ഞാൻ വിടുന്നേരം.
ജ്വാല തന്നെ ഞാ, നുറപ്പാണതു നിനയ്ക്കുന്നേരം.
